Zoe Wicomb and the Translocal: Scotland and South Africa

13-14 September 2012, University of York

Online registration for the conference has now closed, however it is still possible to register in person on the day. Registration will be open in the foyer of the Berrick Saul Building from 14.00 to 15.00 on Thursday 13 September, and from 9.00 on Friday 14 September. If you intend to do this, we would be grateful if you could contact us in advance at wicombandthetranslocal at gmail.com to confirm your attendance, any dietary or accessibility requirements, and whether you wish to join the conference dinner on Friday 14 September.

It is also possible to register for Friday only, at a reduced rate of £30 for unwaged/students and £45 for waged/others. Dinner remains the same at £30 pp.

Beginning at 3.45 pm, Friday’s readings will be open to the public for a small fee of £5, payable at the door. This will include appearances from Elleke Boehmer, Michael Cawood Green, Brian Chikwava, J. M. Coetzee, and Patrick Flanery, whose debut novel Absolution has recently been longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award 2012.
