Guardian First Book Award 2012 – Patrick Flanery, Absolution

Patrick Flanery’s Absolution is one of eleven titles longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award 2012. Set in     South Africa, this complex and original literary thriller provides a fresh perspective on the nation’s past and present.

Patrick will contribute to the conference’s outstanding panel of readings on Friday 14 September, alongside Elleke Boehmer, Brian Chikwava, Michael Cawood Green, and JM Coetzee. These readings are open to the public, with a £5 entrance fee payable at the door.
